Keurig K-cup Kuick Reviews-Chocolate Glazed Donut

We are all busy,  that is why we choose to use a Keurig brewer in the first place.  We don't have time to read long drawn out descriptions of K-cups using strange coffee snob terms that we don't understand.  We are here to offer you quick reviews of Keurig K-cup coffees that will actually tell you what the coffee or tea tastes like so you can find you favorite or a new K-cup coffee to add to your collection.   Have we made purchasing Keurig K-cup coffees easy or what?!

Ready? Let's get started.

Up this week... Donut House Collection Chocolate Glazed Donut.

The aroma at the first moment of the brew cycle is amazing!  A fresh coffee smell with hints of chocolate fill the air instantly.

This is a light roast coffee but, in my opinion verges on a medium roast.  The body is surprisingly full and there is minimal translucency in the cup.

Green Mountain coffee has somehow magical created hints of chocolate and sugar in Chocolate Glazed Donut Kcup coffee with no calories!  This flavored coffee has a delicious sugary chocolate taste.  Similar to Cinnamon Roll,  the chocolate flavor enhances the coffee rather than overpowering it,  a characteristic that I love!

This is another coffee that will satisfy the masses,  light roast, medium roast and flavored drinkers alike will be fully satisfied with this coffee.  I would not recommend this coffee for dark roast drinkers or to be used in coffee recipes.

Donut House Collection Keurig K-cup coffee is quickly becoming one of my favorites and most recommended.  With consistent high quality,  excellent flavor choices and simplicity in taste,  this coffee often does not receive the attention it deserves.

Keurig coffee is all about cutting to the chase.  Get me a cup of coffee, make it good and make it fast. We are following suite!  Along with our Keurig K-cup Kwick reviews  we are adding a low down dirty deal of the week.  We will highlight a cheap Keurig Kcup for your buying enjoyment!

Lets get to it!

Up this week...Diedrich Rio Blend Value Priced Keurig Kcup coffee.

Rio Blend is one of our favorite new up and comers.  This is a member of the Value Priced Kcup coffee family.  We are so thrilled that this line has been added to the Kcup selection, it is so nice to have options when it comes to Kcup purchasing.

Rio Blend is a medium roast with hints of spice and a rich satisfying taste.  I would compare it to a Colombian roast,  a nice everyday easy to drink Kcup.

Here is the best part,  it is on sale for $7.50 per box of 24!! That is an insanely dirt cheap price for Keurig Kcups.

Dont forget when price comparing Keurig Kcups there are 2 things to look for:

1) Box count- don't be fooled by the smaller box sizes sold mostly in retail and grocery stores.

2)Look for the Keurig brewed seal,  this is the only way to be confident you are purchasing high quality Keurig approved coffee.  There are more and more knock offs on the market and so far they are all sub par-  some are even instant coffee-  gag me.

Order plenty and order soon,  we don't know how long the sale will last!

Keurig K-cup Kuick Review- Wild Mountain Blueberry

We are all busy,  that is why we choose to use a Keurig brewer in the first place.  We don't have time to read long drawn out descriptions of K-cups using strange coffee snob terms that we don't understand.  We are here to offer you quick reviews of Keurig K-cup coffees that will actually tell you what the coffee or tea tastes like so you can find you favorite or a new K-cup coffee to add to your collection.   Have we made purchasing Keurig K-cup coffees easy or what?!

Ready? Let's get started.

Up this week... Green Mountain Fair Trade Wild Mountain Blueberry Keurig K-cup Coffee.

Yes,  you heard right,  blueberry coffee!  Might sound odd but,  the taste is amazing.  But, lets start with the aroma.  From the first drop out of my Keurig Kcup brewer I was thrilled with the blueberry smell highlighted by delicious butter.  Just from the smell I would rename this K-cup coffee Buttery Blueberry.

This is a light roast, flavored coffee. It is fair trade certified (which we always love!). I brewed mine on the lowest water setting of my Keurig brewer because I am not much of a light roast fan and wanted to maintain a nice rich body. The result was a dark appearance to the coffee with no translucency.  This is the beauty of the Keurig brewer water settings,  you can adjust it to your taste and change it up with each different type of coffee.  For example,  if I were brewing a dark roast keurig kcup coffee or extra bold keurig kcup coffee K-cup, I would definitely use the highest water setting of my brewer.

The taste is smooth and creamy.  A buttery flavor that will satisfy the sweet tooth accented with a pleasant blueberry that goes surprisingly well with the rich coffee taste. This coffee will surprise you.  Unfortunately,  I think a lot of people turn away from this flavor because fruit and coffee do not sound like they would mix,  that is a mistake. Those who try this coffee... love it and I am confident that you will as well.

Keurig K-cup Kuick Review- Twinings Camomile Tea

We are all busy,  that is why we choose to use a Keurig brewer in the first place.  We don't have time to read long drawn out descriptions of K-cups using strange coffee snob terms that we don't understand.  We are here to offer you quick reviews of Keurig K-cup coffees that will actually tell you what the coffee or tea tastes like so you can find you favorite or a new K-cup coffee to add to your collection.   Have we made purchasing Keurig K-cup coffees easy or what?!

Ready? Let's get started.

This week we will be reviewing...Twinings Camomile Tea K-cups.

Twinings Camomile Tea is made from 100% pure camomile.  Sealed fresh in the revolutionary Keurig K-cup packaging to maintain its pure qualities.  I was curious to see what the camomile actually looked like so I opened the lid of one of my K-cups,  revealing what looks to me like a dried spice which,  I guess technically, tea is.

I hate to be completely cliche and describe Twinings Camomile Tea as smooth and soothing but,  it truly is,  I promise that is not just me taking the easy route.  Even the aroma is calming.  The smell is slightly floral and minty.  There are a lot of unpleasant florals,  this is not one of them.  It is subtle and does not overwhelm you.  One of the striking features of this tea is the rich golden color.

The taste is a minty floral.  It is light and refreshing.  This is a very easy tea to drink,  it is mild and smooth.  I would recommend this tea of course to any camomile fan,  it is a high quality camomile tea and will satisfy a connoisseurs pallet but,  at the same time it is such a nice tea,  I would also suggest this for  a first time tea drinker.  We have to admit,  some teas can be a bit tough to get down and have an acquired taste... this is not one of teas,  you will love it from the first sip.

Twinings Camomile Tea K-cups deliver all of the calming properties that the camomile herb is famous for making this a great evening tea.

I am so pleased with this brand of camomile,  I have had several and I have to say Twinings has really nailed it.  They have created a truly artisan, superb cup of tea.

Keurig K-cup Kuick Review- Donut Shop Collection Cinnamon Roll K-Cup Coffee

Welcome to our first installment of Keurig K-cup Kwick reviews.

Ready?  Lets get started...

The first coffee in this series will be Donut Shop Collection Cinnamon Roll K-cup coffee.

Cinnamon Roll is a light roast, flavored K-cup made by Green Mountain Coffee.  There are 4 choices in this line of Donut House Collection K-cup Coffee; Cinnamon Roll, Chocolate Glazed Donut, Donut House Regular and Donut House Decaf.

The most notable feature of this coffee is despite being a light roast,  it has a nice deep color in the mug. Most light roast K-cups are somewhat translucent,  not this one!

I brewed on the middle water setting of my Keurig Brewer, my mug was filled slightly over half way.  In general,  I would drink this coffee using the highest water setting simply because I prefer a larger mug and this coffee can stand up to the extra water without tasting watered down.

Even after adding a dash of milk,  the body remained thick and dark:

The aroma is more coffee than cinnamon,  which leads me to believe that the flavor will not be overwhelming.

The mouth feel of this coffee is pleasing, creamy and full bodied.

The taste is a nice smooth combination of mild coffee with hints of cinnamon.

I would describe the taste as the corner donut shop, or local mom and pop diner coffee with a dash of cinnamon.  That may seem over simplified and you could easily determine that from the name of this K-cup but,  those names don't always ring true.  With Donut House Collection Cinnamon Roll the name is reflected well in the taste.

Do you know that feeling of your first sip of coffee first thing in the morning? That is how this coffee makes me feel... satisfied.

I would recommend this as a K-cup to the following coffee drinkers:

-Those who enjoy a mild flavor in their coffee.  The hints of cinnamon enhance the coffee flavor quite nicely.

-I would qualify this as a medium roast K-cup despite it's light roast label.  If you prefer a little more coffee in your coffee but,  are not ready to take the plunge into the dark roast K-cup world... this is a good one for you.

-If you enjoy cream in your K-cup coffee you will be pleased with Cinnamon Roll's ability to maintain its body with a significant amount of cream added.

Donut House Collection Cinnamon Roll K-cups are a great all around coffee.  It is easy to drink.  I found nothing in this K-cup coffee that I felt would steer anyone away from it.

Have you tried Donut Shop Collection Cinnamon Roll K-cup coffee?  Please describe it in your own terms and who would you recommend it to.
