Keurig K-cup Kuick Review- Twinings Camomile Tea

We are all busy,  that is why we choose to use a Keurig brewer in the first place.  We don't have time to read long drawn out descriptions of K-cups using strange coffee snob terms that we don't understand.  We are here to offer you quick reviews of Keurig K-cup coffees that will actually tell you what the coffee or tea tastes like so you can find you favorite or a new K-cup coffee to add to your collection.   Have we made purchasing Keurig K-cup coffees easy or what?!

Ready? Let's get started.

This week we will be reviewing...Twinings Camomile Tea K-cups.

Twinings Camomile Tea is made from 100% pure camomile.  Sealed fresh in the revolutionary Keurig K-cup packaging to maintain its pure qualities.  I was curious to see what the camomile actually looked like so I opened the lid of one of my K-cups,  revealing what looks to me like a dried spice which,  I guess technically, tea is.

I hate to be completely cliche and describe Twinings Camomile Tea as smooth and soothing but,  it truly is,  I promise that is not just me taking the easy route.  Even the aroma is calming.  The smell is slightly floral and minty.  There are a lot of unpleasant florals,  this is not one of them.  It is subtle and does not overwhelm you.  One of the striking features of this tea is the rich golden color.

The taste is a minty floral.  It is light and refreshing.  This is a very easy tea to drink,  it is mild and smooth.  I would recommend this tea of course to any camomile fan,  it is a high quality camomile tea and will satisfy a connoisseurs pallet but,  at the same time it is such a nice tea,  I would also suggest this for  a first time tea drinker.  We have to admit,  some teas can be a bit tough to get down and have an acquired taste... this is not one of teas,  you will love it from the first sip.

Twinings Camomile Tea K-cups deliver all of the calming properties that the camomile herb is famous for making this a great evening tea.

I am so pleased with this brand of camomile,  I have had several and I have to say Twinings has really nailed it.  They have created a truly artisan, superb cup of tea.

Keurig K-cup Kuick Review- Donut Shop Collection Cinnamon Roll K-Cup Coffee

Welcome to our first installment of Keurig K-cup Kwick reviews.

Ready?  Lets get started...

The first coffee in this series will be Donut Shop Collection Cinnamon Roll K-cup coffee.

Cinnamon Roll is a light roast, flavored K-cup made by Green Mountain Coffee.  There are 4 choices in this line of Donut House Collection K-cup Coffee; Cinnamon Roll, Chocolate Glazed Donut, Donut House Regular and Donut House Decaf.

The most notable feature of this coffee is despite being a light roast,  it has a nice deep color in the mug. Most light roast K-cups are somewhat translucent,  not this one!

I brewed on the middle water setting of my Keurig Brewer, my mug was filled slightly over half way.  In general,  I would drink this coffee using the highest water setting simply because I prefer a larger mug and this coffee can stand up to the extra water without tasting watered down.

Even after adding a dash of milk,  the body remained thick and dark:

The aroma is more coffee than cinnamon,  which leads me to believe that the flavor will not be overwhelming.

The mouth feel of this coffee is pleasing, creamy and full bodied.

The taste is a nice smooth combination of mild coffee with hints of cinnamon.

I would describe the taste as the corner donut shop, or local mom and pop diner coffee with a dash of cinnamon.  That may seem over simplified and you could easily determine that from the name of this K-cup but,  those names don't always ring true.  With Donut House Collection Cinnamon Roll the name is reflected well in the taste.

Do you know that feeling of your first sip of coffee first thing in the morning? That is how this coffee makes me feel... satisfied.

I would recommend this as a K-cup to the following coffee drinkers:

-Those who enjoy a mild flavor in their coffee.  The hints of cinnamon enhance the coffee flavor quite nicely.

-I would qualify this as a medium roast K-cup despite it's light roast label.  If you prefer a little more coffee in your coffee but,  are not ready to take the plunge into the dark roast K-cup world... this is a good one for you.

-If you enjoy cream in your K-cup coffee you will be pleased with Cinnamon Roll's ability to maintain its body with a significant amount of cream added.

Donut House Collection Cinnamon Roll K-cups are a great all around coffee.  It is easy to drink.  I found nothing in this K-cup coffee that I felt would steer anyone away from it.
